Zama's Confidential DeFi Platform Surpasses $90M in Shielded TVL
Zama, a confidential DeFi platform, has reached a significant milestone, surpassing $90 million in shielded TVL, a 125% increase from $40 million in June. The platform's growth is attributed to the addition of 16 vaults, curated by five firms, including Steakhouse Financial and Wintermute's Armitage. These vaults cover five assets, including cUSDC, cUSDT, cWBTC, cAUSD, and cTGBP, and feature the first encrypted-balance BTC yield vault in history.
The Zama Confidential Swap Protocol allows users to move between confidential assets and vault shares without revealing their amounts or intentions. The platform's growth has also been validated by the market, with DeFiLlama Research publishing a report placing the confidential DeFi category at $197.6 million in total TVL, with 170% growth over 18 months. Rand Hindi, CEO of the protocol, emphasized the importance of confidentiality in onboarding trillions of dollars into the DeFi space.
