Zcash Breaks Through Resistance, Targets $1,099 as Monero Faces Derivatives Risk
Zcash has broken through a major resistance zone after a strong breakout, targeting $1,099. This move was facilitated by Grayscale's launch of the first US spot Zcash product on NYSE Arca, which traded under the ZCSH ticker with a first-session volume of roughly $14.8 million on August 25.
The token cleared the November 2025 cycle high near $750 and climbed toward $888 before facing resistance at the 1.272 Fibonacci extension around $903. A clean break could expose the next extension near $1,099.
Monero has also gained fresh utility after THORChain enabled native XMR swaps, offering another route around previous exchange delistings. The token broke above the May swing high on August 22 and gained 26.5% across seven days, testing the 0.5 Fibonacci retracement near $538.
Uniswap shows renewed strength after protocol fee changes boosted burn funding to a record $8.9 million in August, nearly doubling the pace maintained since January. The token formed a higher low on August 14 and cleared resistance near $3.99 and $4.43 before testing the 0.618 Fibonacci retracement around $4.94.
