Zcash Developers Lock In NU7 Mainnet Activation for November 5

Zcash developers have unanimously agreed to activate the NU7 mainnet on November 5. This comes after an October 6 testnet launch and a final decision on deployment made on October 20.

The upcoming upgrade will introduce faster block times, reducing transaction confirmations from 75 seconds to 25 seconds.

Zcash has also pushed towards a price of $1,400 in recent days, with a 10.9% gain on Thursday and a 168% increase in its 30-day advance.

The NU7 testnet launch has been met with support from Zcash holders, who have backed the introduction of faster transactions and the existing halving schedule.
