Zcash Market Share Growth Still Leaves Room for Expansion
Grayscale's latest analysis of Zcash's market share growth against Bitcoin reveals that despite its significant price increase, Zcash still represents only a small fraction of Bitcoin's market capitalization.
The study notes that ZEC's market capitalization has risen from less than 0.1% to around 1.5% of Bitcoin's over the past year, following a price climb from $60 to $1,500.
Grayscale argues that this growth should be viewed in context of the broader digital-currency sector, rather than as a direct challenge to Bitcoin's dominance.
The firm suggests that Zcash's emphasis on privacy features could help it capture additional market share, particularly as demand for these features increases with growing concerns around digital surveillance and analysis.
