Zcash Price Rally Accelerates Towards $1800 as Paradigm Co-Founder Reveals Firm's Holdings
Zcash's price surge continues as buyers target $1800, with some eyeing an even loftier goal of $2000. The recent rally gained momentum after Paradigm co-founder Matt Huang revealed his investment firm owns ZEC, describing it as a private complement to Bitcoin.
Huang's disclosure came at a time when the crypto was already experiencing strong buying pressure. While this does not represent a newly announced purchase by Paradigm, the timing is significant given the upcoming NU7 upgrade and broader market rebound.
The NU7 plan aims to reduce block confirmation times from 75 seconds to just 25 seconds, which could improve the network's transaction experience. The developers have set October 06 for testnet activation and November 05 as the current mainnet target.
Derivatives markets are also showing strong support, with aggregated open interest climbing to $2.32 billion and futures CVD rising to 5.78 million. However, rising leverage can increase volatility if buyers lose control.
