Zcash Retreats Below $1,500 Support, Testing Strength of September Rally
Zcash has retreated to around $1,412 after losing key support at $1,500. The price drop follows a sharp September advance that saw ZEC trade above $1,600 before reversing. Despite the decline, the asset remains up about 70% over 30 days.
The pullback is testing the strength of its recent rally, which was fueled by the launch of the first U.S.-listed spot Zcash ETF in August. Gemini co-founder Tyler Winklevoss has compared current interest in Zcash to crypto's 2019 recovery, citing renewed enthusiasm around the asset.
Analysts point to the $1,170-$1,210 zone as the next key support area. Losing $1,400 would leave the recent intraday floor around $1,360 as the next visible price reference. A sustained recovery above $1,500 would return price to the level lost during the latest sell-off.
