Zcash Soars as Bitcoin and Ethereum Struggle Amidst US Policy Shifts
Last week was marked by significant shifts in crypto ETF inflows and outflows. While Bitcoin (BTC) funds saw a major drop, Ethereum (ETH) products posted an even larger outflow of $140 million.
The Senate's rejection of the Digital Asset Market CLARITY Act on Tuesday led to a sharp decline in Bitcoin funds, losing $450.33 million that session. This was followed by the Federal Reserve raising interest rates 25 basis points to a range of 3.75% to 4%, resulting in further losses for both Bitcoin and Ethereum.
However, Bitcoin managed to recover on Thursday and Friday, pulling in $433.03 million and $6.2 million respectively, while Ethereum's outflows continued until the final session, when it added $143.80 million.
The week ending September 18 saw Zcash (ZEC) spot ETFs draw $98.2 million, the largest inflow among 14 crypto products, with assets jumping 40.5% to $914.5 million and trading volume reaching $11.42 billion.
