Zeta Global acquires Senso to enhance AI marketing capabilities
Zeta Global has agreed to acquire Senso, an AI engineering firm backed by Y Combinator, to enhance its AI-driven marketing capabilities. The deal, announced on October 5, 2026, brings Senso's technology in-house, strengthening Zeta's Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) offering. Senso's tools already support Zeta's GEO, which helps brands track their visibility in AI-generated answers across platforms like ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Google AI Overviews.
The acquisition will integrate Senso's engineering talent and deepen connections to leading AI models. Zeta aims to improve how brands appear in AI-driven discovery, combining Senso's technology with its own Zeta Data Cloud. This move is part of Zeta's strategy to create intelligent AI infrastructure that links enterprise data to AI platforms.
David A. Steinberg, Zeta's CEO, highlighted the deal's significance, stating that Senso will enhance connectivity to frontier models and personal agents. Saroop Bharwani, Senso's co-founder and CEO, will join Zeta along with his team. Bharwani emphasized that Senso's approach focuses on making AI more useful in real-world applications rather than just conversational.
The terms of the deal, including the purchase price and closing date, were not disclosed. LUMA Partners advised Senso on the transaction.
