ZetaChain Abandons Its Blockchain, Migrates Token to Solana
ZetaChain, a project that aimed to connect blockchains, has proposed shutting down its own Layer-1 blockchain and migrating its ZETA token to Solana. The proposal was made on September 17 and will be voted on for 72 hours, ending September 20.
The migration plan preserves the existing token economics, with a total supply of 2.1 billion tokens remaining capped. Holders can convert their ZETA into a native SPL token on Solana at a one-to-one ratio.
The centerpiece application making this move is Anuma AI, which has accumulated over 300,000 users and will use ZETA as its access token on Solana. This gives the token concrete utility in its new home.
