ZetaChain Migrates to Solana, Abandons L1 Blockchain

ZetaChain has announced plans to shut down its L1 blockchain and migrate the ZETA token to Solana, as well as move its Anuma private AI application to the Solana ecosystem.

The decision was made after a community vote that exceeded the required quorum threshold of 40%, with 99.4% of participants approving the proposal.

ZetaChain's L1 blockchain had been in operation since early 2024, but the company has stated that running its own chain no longer enables it to build private AI applications.

The migration to Solana is expected to provide ZetaChain with the necessary infrastructure to develop private AI applications, including open models and compute, agent identities, and agent payments via the x402 protocol.
