ZetaChain Token Holders Back Plan to Migrate to Solana Amid Security Concerns

ZetaChain token holders have overwhelmingly voted to retire their Layer 1 blockchain and move ZETA tokens to Solana, with a 99.4% approval rate. This decision still requires a second vote before any migration can begin.

The proposal will leave three things unchanged: the token's ticker, its total supply, and each ZETA converting one-for-one into a native Solana SPL token. However, vesting schedules will carry over as they are.

What is still undecided includes how staking and rewards will work after the move, as well as how assets already bridged into ZetaChain from other chains get back to their original networks.
