Addex Therapeutics Flags Viability Concern Despite Having Cash Until Late 2027
Swiss pharmaceutical company Addex Therapeutics (ADXN) has expressed concerns about the viability of its business. Despite having sufficient cash to cover costs until late 2027, the firm highlighted a viability concern in its recent filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The company's unaudited interim condensed consolidated financial statements for the six-month period ended June 30, 2026 show that it had 1.038 billion Swiss francs in current assets, which includes cash and cash equivalents of 676.7 million Swiss francs.
However, Addex Therapeutics' operating costs were substantial, with research and development expenses totaling 74.1 million Swiss francs for the six-month period. The company's operating loss was 1.125 billion Swiss francs for the same period.
