ASX Rallies Ahead of RBA Rate Hike Decision
Australian shares rebounded on Monday, led by gains in banks and gold miners as investors looked ahead to an expected interest rate hike from the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA).
The S&P/ASX 200 index rose 0.2% to 8,683.5 points, recovering from a 0.4% decline on Friday.
Financials were among the top performers, with National Australia Bank and ANZ Group up by 0.6%, while Westpac gained 0.4%.
