AUD/IDR Exchange Rate: Relative Stability Amid Ongoing Capital Outflows
The Australian Dollar (AUD) is showing relative stability against the Indonesian Rupiah (IDR), despite ongoing capital outflows from Indonesia driven by higher U.S. yields. According to analysts, these outflows are eroding the comparative advantage of Indonesia's domestic interest rates, reducing demand for the IDR and supporting the AUD.
The AUD/IDR exchange rate is currently trading at Rp12,666, with a 0.64% intraday increase. The pair is above its key short- and medium-term moving averages, indicating near-term buyer strength. However, overbought signals persist, with an expected two to three day range of Rp12,559 to Rp12,773.
A bullish technical structure is emerging, but a confirmed breakout above Rp12,773 would be required for further upside momentum. A drop below immediate support at Rp12,600 would increase downside risks and favor a bearish move.
