AUD/USD Gains Fizzle as US Yields Rebound
The AUD/USD currency pair saw its early morning gains dwindle as the US dollar and yields reversed their previous decline.
The pair rallied initially, opening near 0.6935 after trading overnight at 0.6914, but failed to sustain its momentum.
This followed a drop in US yields after the release of September payroll data, which also saw gold, silver, and copper prices rise along with stocks.
However, as US yields rebounded and gold and silver turned lower, the AUD/USD pair's gains were eroded, ending up only 0.23% higher in New York's afternoon trading session.
