Australian Businesses Question Inflation Return to 3% Target
Australian businesses are cautiously optimistic about inflation prospects as Reserve Bank of Australia Governor Michele Bullock reported that companies are starting to ask if elevated inflation will return below 3%.
The Reserve Bank's governor made this observation during a parliamentary panel on Friday, September 18, 2026.
Bullock noted that the view is 'bubble up' among businesses, indicating a growing sentiment that inflation might not be coming down as expected.
