Bank of England Taps Top Banks for Five-Year Dollar Bond Sale
The Bank of England has appointed four top banks to lead its planned five-year U.S. dollar bond sale, which is expected to finance its foreign exchange reserves under its Debt Issuance Programme.
The central bank has mandated J.P. Morgan Securities plc, RBC Capital Markets, Merril Lynch International, and Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank as joint lead managers for the issuance operation.
This is the second transaction this year under the programme, which aims to support the Bank's foreign currency reserves by tapping international capital markets.
The timing of the execution depends on market conditions and investor demand, highlighting the Bank's ongoing reliance on external funding sources.
