Bitcoin Could 'Go to Infinity' Amid Looming US Debt Crisis
Strive CEO Matt Cole believes that Bitcoin (BTC) could 'go to infinity' against the US dollar due to a looming debt crisis in Washington. Speaking on Bloomberg Crypto, he argued that the true cause of any potential decline in BTC's value lies not with its scarcity but rather with the increasing debt burden in the United States.
Cole pointed out that the 10-year Treasury yield would already exceed 10% if the Federal Reserve and Treasury Department were to withdraw from the bond market entirely. He credited Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent with capping long-end rates for now, but emphasized that this only delays a reckoning, as neither party in Washington shows any willingness to cut spending.
This logic underlies Strive's public forecast of a 50% compound annual growth rate for Bitcoin through 2030. Cole described this target as conservative given the asset's past bull-market cycles and its performance over the last month when he called the bear market over.
