Canadian Dollar Falls with Government Bond Yields Amid Weakened Economy
The Canadian dollar experienced a slight decline on Wednesday against its US counterpart, while yields on benchmark government bonds also dipped.
The Loonie fell by 0.1% to C$1.3936 per US dollar, or 71.76 US cents, after trading in a range of C$1.3916 to C$1.3943 during the session.
The yield on Canada's 10-year government bond decreased by 3.3 basis points to 3.919%, whereas the comparable benchmark US Treasury note saw its yield drop to 4.9773%.
