Carney to Showcase Canada's Investment Opportunities at Summit

Canada is set to showcase its investment opportunities to some of the world's biggest institutional investors at the upcoming Canada Investment Summit. The summit, hosted by Prime Minister Mark Carney, will feature a pitchbook outlining tens of billions of dollars' worth of projects across various sectors.

The document highlights 167 projects, including data centers, advanced manufacturing, liquefied natural gas facilities, and dozens of mines. Some of the notable projects include a potential $10.5 billion data-center campus in Alberta, a multibillion-dollar battery plant in Ontario backed by Volkswagen AG subsidiary, and a fiber-optic line connecting Canada to Norway.

Canada's goal is to accelerate investment in its economy, including the development of its vast natural resources. The government has set a target to catalyze $1 trillion of total investment over five years, which includes huge government outlays on defense and infrastructure.
