The informal currency market in Cuba continues to operate outside of state financial institutions, with prices for US dollars and euros remaining relatively stable at dawn on August 21. The dollar is quoted at 663 Cuban pesos (CUP), while the euro is priced at 750 CUP. These exchange rates have been largely unchanged compared to the previous day.

However, the MLC has seen a slight decline in value, with an indicative price of around 467 CUP. This represents a decrease of 4 pesos compared to the 471 CUP from the previous day.

The official exchange rate of the Central Bank of Cuba (Segment III) remains significantly below the values that govern everyday transactions in the informal currency market. The difference between the official price and the informal one is substantial, with the dollar being priced at 28 pesos less in the unofficial market.
