Cuban Peso Continues Downward Trend Amid Dollar and Euro Gains
The Cuban peso continues to lose value in the informal market as both the U.S. dollar and euro rise in exchange rates.
As of September 24, 2026, the dollar closed at 728 Cuban pesos (CUP), a 3-peso increase from the previous day's average of 725 CUP.
This marks a 25-peso gain over the past week and a 9% increase from the 668 CUP recorded on August 24.
The euro also saw an uptick, closing at 830 CUP, a 4-peso rise from the previous day's average of 826 CUP.
