In Cuba's informal market, the day concluded on August 1, 2026, with stability in its two main currencies - the US dollar and euro. The exchange rates for these currencies remained unchanged compared to the previous session.

The US dollar closed at 673 Cuban pesos (CUP), identical to the previous day's figure and only one peso lower than the average value a week ago. The demand for dollars remains high among Cubans seeking to protect their savings from the depreciation of the peso, which has fluctuated between 635 and 675 pesos in the last month.

The euro also showed no change, trading at 785 CUP. This currency has reached a low of 718 and a high of 790 pesos over the past month, solidifying its position as the most expensive currency in the Cuban parallel market, surpassing the dollar by 112 pesos.
