Cyprus Stuck with 5.2% Inflation Rate as Euro Area Soars
Cyprus' annual inflation rate held steady at 5.2% in September, according to a flash estimate by Eurostat.
This leaves Cyprus among the member states with the highest inflation rates, as euro area inflation accelerated to 3.8%.
The country's inflation rate has been rising steadily since the start of the year, with prices estimated to have fallen by 0.4% month-on-month in September.
Cyprus' inflation rate is well above the 3.8% euro area average, but below the highest recorded rates among member states.
