DOJ Stays the Course on Powell Probe
The US Department of Justice (DOJ) has announced that it will not reopen its criminal investigation into former Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell related to cost overruns on the central bank's building renovation project.
According to Attorney General Todd Blanche, while the DOJ won't be rekindling the probe, they may continue to examine the project's oversight and take action if evidence of wrongdoing is uncovered.
