Dollar and Euro Unchanged in Cuban Informal Market
The Cuban informal market saw little change in the dollar and euro's value on Thursday, while the Convertible Currency (MLC) lost four pesos. The dollar closed at 663 CUP and the euro remained steady at 750 CUP, mirroring their opening values.
Both currencies had seen a slight decline earlier in the day before stabilizing. Compared to a week ago, the dollar has fallen by 2.5 pesos (-0.4%), while the euro has lost 10 pesos (-1.3%). The MLC, however, remains 13 pesos above (+2.9%) its value from a week ago.
The exchange rate's evolution over the last 30 days shows the dollar and euro experiencing declines of 5 pesos (-0.7%) and 25 pesos (-3.2%), respectively. In contrast, the MLC has been relatively stable with only a slight decrease of 2.5 pesos (-0.5%).
