Dollar Index Surges to Best Monthly Gain Since June
The US Dollar Index (DXY) has closed its best monthly gain since June, rising by 2.0% in September to 101.45 on Wednesday.
This strong performance was briefly tempered by softer US Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) data, but the dollar recovered into the close.
The DXY held firm into Q4, with major currency pairs such as EUR/USD, GBP/USD, and AUD/USD remaining steady. Meanwhile, USD/JPY finished flat.
