Dollar Strength Drives Euro Down Despite Oil Prices Pullback
The U.S. dollar continued its upward trend despite a pullback in oil prices, according to recent analysis from FXEmpire.
The Chicago Fed National Activity Index report showed a decline from 0.08 in July to -0.04 in August, exceeding analyst forecasts of +0.2.
This unexpected development contributed to the dollar's growth, pushing it towards resistance levels at 100.50-100.65.
The EUR/USD pair suffered as a result, losing ground despite oil prices pulling back below $95 for WTI and $100 for Brent.
