Dollar Takes Slight Dip Against Vietnamese Dong Amid Global Volatility

The US dollar has taken a slight dip against the Vietnamese dong this morning. At the same time, it's trading near a two-month high against several major peers.

Vietcombank is selling the greenback at VND26,150, down 0.12% from over the weekend. On the black market, the currency has fallen by 0.19% to around VND25,950.

The State Bank of Vietnam has lowered its reference rate by a mere 0.02% to VND25,635. This comes as the dollar index holds near a two-month high at 101.15, and is on track for a 1.7% gain in September, its best month since June.

The euro and sterling are both hovering near multi-month lows against the greenback, with prices last seen at $1.1379 and $1.3232, respectively. Meanwhile, the yen has fallen by 0.3% to around 157.7 per dollar.
