Eurostat: Greece Tied for Second-Highest Inflation Rate Among Euro Area Countries
Greece's inflation rate has risen to 5.1% in September, up from 3.7% in August, according to a preliminary estimate by Eurostat.
This represents one of the highest monthly increases among euro area countries, with prices increasing by 1.8% in September.
The main driver of inflation in Greece was energy, where annual price growth reached 18.8%, up from 14.3% in August.
