Eurozone Consumer Confidence Takes a Hit
The Eurozone Consumer Confidence Index (EUCCI) has fallen to -16.5 in September 2026, according to flash estimates from TradingView. This marks a decline from the previous month's reading of -15.5 and is worse than market forecasts of -16.
The index had been on an upward trend for four months, reaching a six-month high due to heightened geopolitical uncertainty and inflation concerns.
However, sentiment across the broader European Union also weakened, with the EUCCI falling to -15.8 from -15 in the previous month.
