The US Federal Reserve kept interest rates steady at its latest meeting on Wednesday, despite concerns about inflation.

A majority of policymakers voted to maintain the current rate of 3.50-3.75 percent, but three members dissented and advocated for a quarter-percentage-point increase.

Fed Chairman Kevin Warsh denied that he was hesitant to address inflation, which has been fueled by US President Donald Trump's war on Iran.

'We are on the job. We will deliver. We are focused like a laser, making sure we can do it,' Warsh said in response to criticism of his handling of inflation.
