Fitch Keeps AAA Rating for United States Amid Economic Uncertainty
Fitch Ratings has maintained its 'AA+' credit rating for the United States, citing the country's strong economy and high per-capita income.
The ratings agency noted that the US dollar remains the world's leading reserve currency, a key factor in its economic stability.
Despite higher tariffs, government spending cuts, tighter border controls, and heightened policy uncertainty, Fitch estimates that the US economy will grow at 1.9% in 2026-2027, slightly lower than the 2.8% growth rate in 2025.
