Ghana Cedi Sees Mixed Movements Against Major Currencies

The Ghanaian cedi experienced mixed movements against major currencies in the latest Bank of Ghana exchange rate update for September 18, 2026. The US dollar saw a marginal gain, while the pound sterling and euro weakened against the local currency.

The cedi was quoted at GH¢11.52 against the dollar, with a buying rate of GH¢11.5142 and a selling rate of GH¢11.5258. This represents an increase from the previous day's rates.

On the other hand, the pound sterling declined in value against the cedi, with its midpoint rate falling by approximately GH¢0.09. The euro also posted a lower rate, with a decline of about GH¢0.04 in its midpoint rate.
