Global Economists Hail India's Economic Growth Trajectory
Global economists have praised India's economic growth trajectory and reforms, highlighting the country's potential to become a major global economic force.
Daniel Waldenström, a Swedish economist, said that India has made impressive progress through growth-oriented policies and is well-positioned to translate economic expansion into broader social gains.
'India is on a good path in terms of increasing its economy at a fast pace,' Waldenström said. 'The focus on growth has been very positive and will help expand education, infrastructure, and overall living standards.'
He argued that policymakers should focus more on income inequality than wealth inequality, saying that income levels provide a clearer picture of poverty and economic opportunities.
Former European Central Bank President Jean-Claude Trichet described India's transformation as 'very impressive,' stating that the country is moving in the right direction.
