Gold Prices Plummet in India Amid Global Selloff and Strong Dollar
Gold prices in India plummeted to Rs 1.5 lakh per 10 grams on Monday, a decline of Rs 2,600 from the previous session.
The sharp global selloff and strong US dollar contributed to the drop in gold prices, which also rose amid rising crude oil rates.
Silver prices also took a hit, falling by Rs 5,000 to Rs 2.32 lakh per kg.
Gaurav Garg, Head of Research at Lemonn, attributed the decline in precious metals to the firm US dollar and increased supply concerns due to rising Brent crude rates.
