IPH Ltd's Cash Generation and Canadian Strength Offset Regional Headwinds
IPH Ltd's latest earnings call presented a cautiously optimistic picture, as management emphasized solid cash generation and improving earnings per share. Despite regional headwinds in ANZ and parts of Asia, along with currency impacts and non-cash amortization, the group's underlying NPATA rose 1.7% to AUD 122.7 million, signaling modest but steady profit growth.
Statutory net profit after tax climbed 16.9%, with statutory basic EPS jumping 19.7%, underscoring the leverage of the model when conditions improve. The group declared total FY26 dividends of AUD 0.385 per share, up 5.5% year on year, including a final dividend of AUD 0.195.
Canada was the standout region, delivering a robust recovery with like-for-like revenue up 5.8% and underlying EBITDA surging 11.8%. The segment's margin improved by 1.4 percentage points, and Canada now accounts for more than one-third of group earnings.
Management highlighted continued progress in integrating recent acquisitions, with Bereskin & Parr contributing for three months and Pizzeys and Applied Marks consolidated into Griffith Hack. These moves are designed to strengthen IPH's global capability, streamline operations, and unlock cost and revenue synergies.
