Iran Blasts Trump's Policies, Calls on Americans to Protest

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard has issued a scathing rebuke to US President Donald Trump's policies in the Middle East, urging Americans to take to the streets and protest against their leaders. General Hossein Mohebbi, spokesman for Iran's Revolutionary Guard, delivered a 'letter to the American people' at a news conference on Tuesday, stating that the ongoing war will only end when Washington admits defeat and completely withdraws its forces from the region.

Mohebbi accused the US of exploiting Iran's nuclear program as a pretext to plunder the country's wealth and turn it back into a colony. He called on Americans to 'revise their decision' about their leaders, indicating that the current policies are failing.

The remarks came as Iran's currency, the rial, plummeted to a record low of over 2.5 million rials to the US dollar, reflecting the devastating economic impact of the conflict. This is not the first time the rial has reached such lows; it previously hit 2.2 million to the dollar on September 2.
