Japan Seeks 1.2 Trillion Yen Budget for Strategic Ties
Japan's Foreign Ministry plans to submit a budget request for approximately 1.2 trillion yen for fiscal 2027, with a focus on strengthening strategic ties with countries that share its outlook.
The package aims to enhance security assistance and intelligence cooperation between Japan and its partner nations as international security conditions deteriorate.
A portion of the funds, totaling 1.01 billion yen, will be allocated to support Japanese businesses expanding overseas and promote exports of Japanese products and technologies.
