Junglia Okinawa Theme Park Parent Logs 17-Billion-Yen Loss
The parent company of Junglia Okinawa Theme Park has reported a significant loss for its first business year since the park's opening in July 2025. Japan Entertainment Holdings, the parent company, incurred a net loss of 17.3 billion yen for the year that ended in June 2026.
The severe financial difficulties led to drastic measures being taken to improve the business. According to CEO Takeshi Kato, 'the loss will not affect our services provided to customers or various contracts and transactions with other companies.'
Junglia, located in Okinawa Prefecture, was planned by Katana Inc., a marketing company based in Osaka. The theme park is known for its connection to Katana President and CEO Tsuyoshi Morioka, who revitalized the Universal Studios Japan theme park.
