Korean Won Rises Against Dollar Amid US Inflation Anticipation
The South Korean won marginally rose against the U.S. dollar on Wednesday, as exporters continued to sell the dollar amid anticipation of U.S. inflation data.
The won was quoted at 1,415.7 per dollar at 3:30 p.m., up 0.3 from the close of stock trading the previous day.
The currency's appreciation was limited due to ongoing military tension between the United States and Iran in the Middle East, with little progress reported in reopening the Strait of Hormuz.
