Kyrgyzstan's Ruble Appreciates Amid Exchange Rate Fluctuations
The Kyrgyzstani som has experienced significant fluctuations in exchange rates against major currencies. According to data from September 11, 2023, provided by the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan, the US dollar remains relatively stable at 87.45-87.50 soms for buying and selling. However, changes are observed in commercial banks: the value of the euro has decreased, while the ruble has appreciated.
The data shows that some banks have adjusted their exchange rates to reflect these changes. For example, AKB 'TOLUBAI' lists the dollar at 87.30-87.80 soms for buying and selling, while ZAO 'BANK ASIA' quotes it at 87.40-87.80 soms.
Notably, the ruble has seen a significant appreciation in commercial banks, with some banks listing its value as high as 101.20-102.20 soms for buying and selling. This trend is observed across multiple banks, including ZAO 'KICB' and OAO 'EURASIAN SAVINGS BANK'. The dollar's stability contrasts with the fluctuating values of other currencies.
