Lloyds Launches Club Lloyds Account with Tiered Interest and Lifestyle Rewards

Lloyds Banking Group PLC has introduced a new current account product called Club Lloyds Account. The account is designed for customers who pay in at least £1,500 per month or maintain a minimum balance of £1,500. If they fall below that threshold, Lloyds charges a £3 monthly fee.

The Club Lloyds Account offers tiered credit interest on balances between £1 and £5,000, with rates adjusted by the bank in response to Bank of England moves. Customers can also choose an annual 'Club Lloyds Lifestyle Benefit', such as cinema tickets or a magazine subscription.

Lloyds positions these benefits as a way to differentiate the account from other UK current accounts. The account is available through Lloyds Bank branches, website, and mobile app, and is covered by the UK's Financial Services Compensation Scheme up to £85,000 per eligible person.
