Global markets remained cautious on Monday as investors awaited details of threatened U.S. sanctions on Iran, set to be announced later in the session.

The tech sector is particularly sensitive, with Nvidia's quarterly results due out on Wednesday expected to nearly double to around $92 billion, while full-year earnings guidance is seen in a range of $103 billion to $105 billion.

Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh's speech at Jackson Hole, Wyoming, on Friday will also be closely watched for any clues on the outlook for U.S. interest rates, though analysts caution that his well-known aversion to forward guidance may lead to disappointment.
