The Mexican peso saw a slight recovery at Friday's close after experiencing an intraday appreciation of 0.35%. The dollar price today, September 26, 2026, is 17.68 pesos per dollar, according to data from Investing.com.

This partial recovery comes after the peso posted its biggest weekly loss since March 1, with a depreciation of 2.65% against the dollar at Friday's close.

Experts expect the peso to trade between 17.63 and 17.75 over the weekend session, driven by the dollar's relative strength and caution surrounding the interest rate differential.

The Bank of Mexico kept its benchmark rate unchanged and stated that it will not automatically mirror the Federal Reserve's decisions, leading national markets to fall.
