Nationwide Building Society, the UK's largest mutual building society, has issued AUD 1 billion in floating rate covered bonds under its €45 billion Global Covered Bond Programme. The Series 2026-09 bonds, denominated in Australian dollars and maturing in September 2031, are backed by an unconditional guarantee from Nationwide Covered Bonds LLP.

The issuance demonstrates Nationwide's strategic approach to diversify its wholesale funding sources across global currency markets. Issuing bonds in Australian dollars broadens the society's investor base with Australian dollar-denominated debt.

Investors should note that these securities are not registered under the US Securities Act of 1933 and cannot be publicly offered in the United States, as per standard restrictions for internationally issued covered bonds distributed outside the US.
