The Nigerian naira has strengthened against the euro, reaching NGN1,329.8019 per US dollar at the official market on September 21, 2026. This appreciation in the naira's value has a direct impact on the EUR/NGN rate, making the naira stronger against major currencies.

The rise in the naira's value is accompanied by an increase in Nigeria's gross external reserves above $54.72 billion and a balance-of-payments surplus greater than $5 billion posted for 2025.

According to technical analysis, EUR/NGN trades below key moving averages with weak momentum signals, expected to remain in the NGN1,502 to NGN1,517 range short term.
