Nepal's central bank, the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), has set today's foreign exchange rates for major currencies. The US dollar is trading at Rs 152.32 for buying and Rs 152.92 for selling. Other notable rates include the euro at Rs 175.26 and Rs 175.95, and the UK pound at Rs 204.89 and Rs 205.69.

The NRB has also penalized three commercial banks - Rastriya Banijya Bank, Agricultural Development Bank, and Prabhu Bank - for violating regulatory provisions during the fourth quarter of the fiscal year. The central bank issued warnings to two state-owned banks for delays in freezing accounts as required by directives.

The Ministry of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation reported a 62 percent financial progress and 71.35 percent physical progress in the fiscal year 2025/26. Key achievements included progress on major hydropower projects, transmission line development, and approval for Nepal Electricity Authority to issue Rs 20 billion in energy bonds.
