Nvidia's Earnings Boost Asian Stocks for Third Straight Day
Asian stocks rose at the start of Thursday's trading session as Nvidia's latest earnings report beat expectations, lifting tech hardware manufacturers and reviving investor confidence.
Nvidia reported that its quarterly revenue more than doubled and forecast third-quarter revenue above Wall Street estimates. The AI chipmaker's shares jumped 4.7% in after-hours trading, lifting S&P 500 e-mini futures by 0.4%.
MSCI's broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares excluding Japan was up 0.7%, on track to extend gains into a third consecutive day.
The US dollar index held at 99.12, near its highest level over the past week, while gold rallied 0.7% to $4,624.14 and bitcoin was up 0.8% at $79,043.18.
