Nykredit A S Takes Aim at Imperial Oil with New Stake

Nykredit A S has acquired a new position in Imperial Oil Limited (NYSEAMERICAN:IMO), buying 9,263 shares valued at approximately $1,040,000 during the second quarter. This is not Nykredit's first move into Imperial Oil; it follows other large investors who have also modified their holdings of the company.

According to a recent disclosure with the Securities & Exchange Commission, Arrowstreet Capital Limited Partnership bought a new stake in Imperial Oil worth $93,097,000 during the 1st quarter. Similarly, Bank of New York Mellon Corp acquired a new stake valued at about $24,051,000.

Other notable changes include BNP Paribas Financial Markets increasing its holdings by 168.2% in the 4th quarter and Swiss National Bank raising its position by 23.6% during the same period. Cibc World Market Inc. also lifted its stake by 8.4% in the 4th quarter.
